A buffer overflow issue exists in certain Oracle 8.1.5 applications, including names, namesctl, onrsd, osslogin, tnslsnr, tnsping, trcasst, and trcroute. This issue may allow local users to gain privileges by exploiting a long ORACLE HOME environmental variable.
