Description:
The issue concerns improper access restrictions to per-process mem and ctl files in procfs. This allows local users to potentially gain root privileges by exploiting a process forking mechanism, where a child process is forked and a privileged process is executed from the child, while the parent process retains access to the child's address space.
Recommendations:
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
