| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Check Point FireWall-1 version 4.1
Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service by sending a large number of spoofed IP packets with various source addresses to the inside interface. This action floods the console with warning messages and consumes CPU resources.
Recommendations:
For FireWall-1 version 4.1, consider restricting access to the inside interface to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, limit the number of warning messages displayed on the console to prevent CPU resource consumption. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
