| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Pi3Web version 1.0.1
Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the tstisapi.dll component of the Pi3Web web server. This allows remote attackers to potentially cause a denial of service or execute arbitrary commands by sending a long URL to the affected server.
Recommendations
For Pi3Web version 1.0.1, consider restricting access to the tstisapi.dll component until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, limiting the length of URLs that can be processed by the server may help mitigate the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
