CVE-2001-0320

CVSS v2.0

10

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions PHP-Nuke version 4.4
Description The issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files and gain PHP administrator privileges. This is achieved by inserting a null character and .. (dot dot) sequences into a malformed username argument in bb smilies.php and bbcode ref.php files.
Recommendations For PHP-Nuke version 4.4, consider restricting access to the bb smilies.php and bbcode ref.php files until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the username argument in these files to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
