Description:
The issue allows attackers with access to SQL Server to execute arbitrary code through certain functions, including (1) raiserror, (2) formatmessage, or (3) xp sprintf.
Recommendations:
For Microsoft SQL Server version 7.0, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
For Microsoft SQL Server version 2000, update to a version that includes the fix for this issue.
As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the functions raiserror, formatmessage, and xp sprintf until a patch is available.
