| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Centrinity First Class Internet Services version 5.50
Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to bypass default 'spam' filters by including '<@>' in the 'From:' field, enabling them to send spoofed emails that appear to come from local users.
Recommendations:
For Centrinity First Class Internet Services version 5.50, consider modifying the spam filter settings to handle the '<@>' characters in the 'From:' field properly to prevent spoofed emails. As a temporary workaround, restrict the ability to send emails with specially crafted 'From:' fields until a more comprehensive fix is available.
