Description:
A buffer overflow issue exists in the IrDA driver, which is responsible for infrared data exchange. This issue can be exploited by attackers who are physically close to the machine, allowing them to cause a denial of service, resulting in a system reboot, via a malformed IrDA packet.
Recommendations:
For Windows 2000, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
