Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
IBM HACMP version 4.4
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service by establishing a completed TCP connection to HACMP ports, such as through a port scan, without sending additional data. This action causes a failure in the
snmpd process.Recommendations
For IBM HACMP version 4.4, consider restricting access to HACMP ports to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, limiting the ability to establish TCP connections without subsequent data transfer may help mitigate the issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
