CVE-2001-1323
CVSS v2.0
7.5
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
MIT Kerberos 5 (krb5) versions 1.2.2 and earlier
Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service and possibly execute arbitrary code via base-64 encoded data. This occurs because the radix encode function does not properly handle file glob output from the ftpglob function.
Recommendations:
For versions 1.2.2 and earlier, update to a version later than 1.2.2 to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the radix encode function and the ftpglob function until a patch is available.
Fix
Buffer Overflow
