Description The issue allows local users to execute arbitrary code via a symlink attack on the logwatch temporary directory. Multiple vulnerabilities in the logwatch package may lead to disruption of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information, and exploitation can be done locally.

Recommendations For LogWatch versions prior to 2.5, update to version 2.5 or later to resolve the issue. For LogWatch version 2.6, at the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
