Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
InstantServers MiniPortal versions 1.1.5 and earlier
Description
The issue allows local users to gain privileges by accessing sensitive login and account data stored in plaintext. This data is stored in either
.pwd files in the miniportal/apache directory or in the mplog.txt file.Recommendations
For InstantServers MiniPortal versions 1.1.5 and earlier, consider restricting access to the
miniportal/apache directory and the mplog.txt file to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, limit local user privileges until a fix is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.Fix
