Description
The issue is related to the d path function in the Linux kernel, which truncates long pathnames without generating an error. This could allow local users to force programs to perform inappropriate operations on the wrong directories.
Recommendations
For Linux kernel versions 2.2.20 and earlier, update to a version later than 2.2.20 to resolve the issue.
For Linux kernel versions 2.4.18 and earlier, update to a version later than 2.4.18 to resolve the issue.
