| Vector | AV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Adobe PhotoDeluxe version 3.1
Description
The issue concerns the Connectables feature in Adobe PhotoDeluxe, which modifies the CLASSPATH environment variable in a way that allows applets to run with elevated privileges. This could enable remote attackers to gain privileges, potentially through malicious HTML e-mail messages or web pages.
Recommendations
For Adobe PhotoDeluxe version 3.1, consider disabling the Connectables feature as a temporary workaround to minimize the risk of exploitation. Restrict access to potentially vulnerable components to reduce the attack surface until a more permanent solution is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
