Description The issue allows remote attackers to obtain sensitive system information, including the installation path, via certain example servlets. Specifically, the SnoopServlet and TroubleShooter example servlets are vulnerable. There are no plans to issue an update for Tomcat 3.x.
Recommendations For Apache Tomcat versions 3.0 through 3.3.1, consider removing or disabling the SnoopServlet and TroubleShooter example servlets to minimize the risk of exploitation. For Apache Tomcat versions 4.0 through 4.1, consider removing or disabling the SnoopServlet and TroubleShooter example servlets to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
