CVE-2002-2204
CVSS v2.0
7.5
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
RPM Package Manager version 4.0.4
Description:
The default setting in RPM Package Manager can allow remote attackers to make a malicious package appear as if it comes from a trusted source. This occurs because the package's signature is checked for validity without verifying who signed it.
Recommendations:
For RPM Package Manager version 4.0.4, consider changing the --checksig setting to verify the package signer in addition to checking the signature validity.
