Description The issue allows remote attackers to gain root privileges, possibly via format strings in a request to a slave server. Multiple vulnerabilities in the apcupsd package may lead to disruption of confidentiality, integrity, and availability of protected information, and can be exploited remotely.

Recommendations For apcupsd versions 3.8.6 and earlier, update to version 3.8.6 or later. For apcupsd 3.10.x versions prior to 3.10.5, update to version 3.10.5 or later.
