Description
A directory traversal issue allows remote attackers to read arbitrary files by using a URL containing a "..%5c" sequence, which is mapped to the directory separator. This sequence is a modified dot-dot that can be used to traverse directories.
Recommendations
For Novell NetBasic Scripting Server (NSN) for Netware versions 5.1 through 6, consider restricting access to sensitive files and directories until a fix is available.
For Novell Small Business Suite versions 5.1 through 6, avoid using URLs that contain the "..%5c" sequence in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
