| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Apache versions prior to 2.0.44
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to obtain certain files via an HTTP request that ends in certain illegal characters, such as
> or <, which causes a different filename to be processed and served.Recommendations
For Apache versions prior to 2.0.44, update to version 2.0.44 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to sensitive files and directories to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using illegal characters in request URLs until the issue is resolved.
