CVSS v2.0
5.0
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
SOHO Routefinder 550 versions prior to 4.63
Description
The issue is related to a buffer overflow in the web interface, allowing remote attackers to cause a denial of service, which results in a reboot, and potentially execute arbitrary code. This is achieved by sending a long GET "/OPTIONS" value to the affected system.
Recommendations
For versions prior to 4.63, update to firmware version 4.63 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the web interface to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using long GET "/OPTIONS" values in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved.
