Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Cisco CSS 11000 routers on the CS800 chassis
Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in CPU consumption or reboot, by sending a large number of TCP SYN packets to the circuit IP address.
Recommendations:
For Cisco CSS 11000 routers on the CS800 chassis, consider implementing rate limiting on TCP SYN packets to the circuit IP address as a temporary workaround to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
