Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
FreeRADIUS versions 0.9.2 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a crash. This is achieved by sending a short RADIUS string attribute with a tag, which leads to
memcpy being called with a -1 length argument. An example of this is using the Tunnel-Password attribute.Recommendations
For FreeRADIUS versions 0.9.2 and earlier, consider updating to a version that is not affected by this issue, as the current version can be exploited to cause a denial of service.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
