Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a crash, by sending a malformed Referer header that lacks a hostname. This malformed header is parsed by the ap parse uri components function in Apache, leading to a null dereference.
Recommendations
For mod access referer version 1.0.2, consider updating to a newer version that addresses this issue, as the current version can cause a denial of service due to a null dereference when parsing a malformed Referer header.
