Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a segmentation fault. This is achieved by sending a UDP packet containing a single-byte name string, which is then used as an out-of-bounds array index.

For Ganglia gmond version 2.5.3, consider updating to a newer version that addresses this issue, as using a single-byte name string in a UDP packet can cause a denial of service. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
