CVE-2003-1269

CVSS v2.0

5.0

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions HTTP version 1.41e
Description The issue allows remote attackers to obtain the root web server path via an HTTP request with a long argument to a script. This occurs because the script leaks the path in an error message when it encounters a long argument.
Recommendations For HTTP version 1.41e, consider restricting access to scripts that handle long arguments until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using scripts that may leak sensitive information, such as the root web server path, in error messages. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
