Description The issue concerns multiple stack-based buffer overflows in Atrium MERCUR IMAPD. Remote attackers can execute arbitrary code via long commands, including EXAMINE, DELETE, SUBSCRIBE, RENAME, UNSUBSCRIBE, LIST, LSUB, STATUS, LOGIN, CREATE, or SELECT.

Recommendations For versions prior to 4.2.15.0, update to version 4.2.15.0 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the IMAPD service until the update is applied. Avoid using long commands in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved.
