| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Netgear FM114P version 1.4
Description
A directory traversal issue exists in the web configuration interface, allowing remote attackers to read arbitrary files, such as the netgear.cfg configuration file. This is achieved by using a hex-encoded (%2e%2e%2f) ../ (dot dot slash) in the
port parameter of the API endpoint.Recommendations
For Netgear FM114P version 1.4, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the web configuration interface until a patch is available. Avoid using the
port parameter with hex-encoded ../ (dot dot slash) sequences in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
