CVSS v2.0
7.8
High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:C |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
SonicWall Pro version 6.4.0.1
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a device reset. This can be achieved by sending a long HTTP POST to the internal interface, which may be due to a buffer overflow.
Recommendations
For SonicWall Pro version 6.4.0.1, consider restricting access to the internal interface to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, limit the length of HTTP POST requests to prevent potential buffer overflows until a patch is available.
