Description The issue allows local users to execute arbitrary code by modifying the path to point to a malicious rmail program, as x11.c in xonix uses the current working directory to find and execute the rmail program.

Recommendations For xonix versions 1.4 and earlier, consider restricting access to the rmail program or modifying the execution path to prevent malicious code execution until a patch is available. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
