CVSS v2.0

10

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:C/I:C/A:C
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions KarjaSoft Sami HTTP Server version 1.0.4
Description A buffer overflow issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, potentially leading to a crash, and may also enable the execution of arbitrary code. This is achieved by sending a long HTTP GET request.
Recommendations For KarjaSoft Sami HTTP Server version 1.0.4, consider restricting access to the HTTP server until a patch is available to prevent potential exploitation. As a temporary workaround, limiting the length of HTTP GET requests may help mitigate the risk of a buffer overflow. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
