Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Subversion version 1.0.4
Description
The issue is related to the
libsvn ra svn component in Subversion, which trusts the length field of svn://, svn+ssh://, and other svn protocol URL strings. This trust allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service due to memory consumption and possibly execute arbitrary code via an integer overflow that leads to a heap-based buffer overflow.Recommendations
For Subversion version 1.0.4, consider updating to a newer version that addresses this issue, as the current version is affected by the integer overflow vulnerability that can lead to a heap-based buffer overflow. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
