| Vector | AV:N/AC:H/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0.2800
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a crash. This can be achieved by creating a table with a form that spans multiple td elements. The table's "float: left" class must be defined in a link to a CSS stylesheet, but this link should be placed after the end of the table. This specific arrangement may trigger a null dereference.
Recommendations
For Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0.2800, consider avoiding the use of tables with forms that cross multiple td elements and are styled with a "float: left" class defined in a CSS stylesheet linked after the table, until a fix is available.
