CVSS v2.0
5.0
Medium
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
4D WebSTAR versions 5.3.2 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to list arbitrary directories via a URL with the desired path and a "*" (asterisk) character. This is related to the ShellExample.cgi script.
Recommendations
For versions 5.3.2 and earlier, consider restricting access to the ShellExample.cgi script until a fix is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using the "*" (asterisk) character in URLs to minimize the risk of exploitation.
