| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:N/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Mozilla versions 1.5 through 1.7
Description
The issue allows a CA certificate to be imported even when their DN is the same as that of the built-in CA root certificate. This enables remote attackers to cause a denial of service to SSL pages because the malicious certificate is treated as invalid.
Recommendations
For Mozilla versions 1.5 through 1.7, avoid importing CA certificates with a DN that is the same as the built-in CA root certificate to prevent denial of service attacks on SSL pages.
