| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Internet Explorer versions 5.5 through 6
Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to alter displayed address bars, which can be used to spoof web pages and facilitate phishing attacks. This is due to improper handling of plug-in navigation.
Recommendations:
For Internet Explorer versions 5.5 through 6, consider disabling plug-in navigation as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to sensitive information when using these versions to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
