Description A buffer overflow issue exists in the TFTP client of InetUtils, allowing remote malicious DNS servers to execute arbitrary code. This occurs when a large DNS response is handled by the gethostbyname function.
Recommendations For InetUtils version 1.4.2, consider updating to a newer version that addresses this issue, as using a large DNS response can lead to arbitrary code execution. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
