CVE-2004-1965

CVSS v2.0

4.3

Medium

VectorAV:N/AC:M/Au:N/C:N/I:P/A:N
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions OpenBB versions 1.0.6 and earlier
Description The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML, potentially leading to cross-site scripting (XSS) attacks. This can be achieved via several parameters, including the redirect parameter to "member.php", the to parameter to "myhome.php", the TID parameter to "post.php", or the redirect parameter to "index.php".
Recommendations For OpenBB versions 1.0.6 and earlier, consider disabling the affected parameters, such as redirect, to, and TID, in the respective PHP files until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vulnerable PHP files, including "member.php", "myhome.php", "post.php", and "index.php", to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using these parameters in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
