High
| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
OpenBB versions 1.0.6 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This can be achieved via several parameters in different PHP files, including the
FID parameter in "board.php", sortorder, perpage, or id parameters in "member.php", forums parameter in "search.php", or PID or FID parameters in "post.php".Recommendations
For OpenBB versions 1.0.6 and earlier, consider restricting access to the vulnerable parameters
FID, sortorder, perpage, id, forums, PID in their respective PHP files until a patch is available. As a temporary workaround, avoid using these parameters in the affected API endpoints. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
