Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
ASPRunner version 2.4
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to inject arbitrary web script or HTML via several parameters, including the
SearchFor parameter in [TABLE-NAME] search.asp, the SQL parameter in [TABLE-NAME] edit.asp, the SearchFor parameter in [TABLE] list.asp, or the SQL parameter in export.asp. This can lead to cross-site scripting attacks.Recommendations
For ASPRunner version 2.4, consider disabling the
SearchFor and SQL parameters in the affected API endpoints until a patch is available. Restrict access to the vulnerable pages, including [TABLE-NAME] search.asp, [TABLE-NAME] edit.asp, [TABLE] list.asp, and export.asp, to minimize the risk of exploitation. Avoid using the SearchFor and SQL parameters in these endpoints until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
