| Vector | AV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:N/A:N |
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Borland Web Server versions 1.0b3 and earlier
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to read and download arbitrary files due to multiple directory traversal vulnerabilities. This can be achieved via multi-dot "......" sequences or "%5c%2e%2e" (encoded "..") sequences in the URL.
Recommendations
For Borland Web Server versions 1.0b3 and earlier, consider restricting access to sensitive files and directories as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Avoid using the vulnerable URL patterns in the affected API endpoint until the issue is resolved. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
