Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions:
Alcatel OmniSwitch versions 7000 and 7800
Description:
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a reboot of the system, by performing certain network scans. This can be achieved, for example, by conducting a Nessus port scan of ports 1 through 1024 with safe-checks disabled.
Recommendations:
For Alcatel OmniSwitch versions 7000 and 7800, consider restricting access to the network to minimize the risk of exploitation, and avoid using network scans with safe-checks disabled until a fix is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this issue.
