Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
Gattaca Server 2003 version 1.1.10.0
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in an application crash. This can be achieved by establishing a large number of connections to either TCP port 25, which is used for SMTP, or TCP port 110, which is used for POP.
Recommendations
For Gattaca Server 2003 version 1.1.10.0, consider restricting access to TCP ports 25 and 110 to minimize the risk of exploitation. As a temporary workaround, limiting the number of concurrent connections to these ports may help mitigate the issue. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
