Description
The issue allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service, resulting in a system controller hang. This is achieved by sending IP packets with Type of Service (TOS) bits set.
Recommendations
For Sun Fire 3800/4800/4810/6800, consider restricting access to the system controller to minimize the risk of exploitation.
For Sun Fire V1280, avoid using IP packets with Type of Service (TOS) bits set until the issue is resolved.
For Netra 1280, as a temporary workaround, consider disabling the reception of IP packets with TOS bits set until a fix is available.
At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
