Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions
PHPMyChat version 0.14.5
Description
The issue allows remote attackers to bypass authentication and gain administrative privileges. This is achieved by setting the
do not login parameter to false in the edituser.php3 file.Recommendations
For PHPMyChat version 0.14.5, as a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the
edituser.php3 file until a patch is available. Additionally, avoid using the do not login parameter in the affected file to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.Exploit
