Description A stack-based buffer overflow issue exists in the websql CGI program, allowing remote attackers to execute arbitrary code by providing a long password parameter in the password variable.
Recommendations For MySQL MaxDB version 7.5.00, avoid using long passwords as a temporary workaround until a patch is available. Restrict access to the websql CGI program to minimize the risk of exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
