Description The issue allows local users to cause a denial of service by consuming CPU and memory, and also bypass RLIM MEMLOCK limits. This is achieved via the mlockall call.
Recommendations For Linux kernel versions 2.4.x through 2.6.x, consider restricting access to the mlockall system call to prevent denial of service and limit bypass attacks. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
