Description The issue allows remote malicious web sites to overwrite arbitrary files by tricking the user into downloading a .LNK (link) file twice, which overwrites the file that was referenced in the first .LNK file.

Recommendations For Firefox versions prior to 1.0.1, update to version 1.0.1 or later to resolve the issue. For Mozilla versions prior to 1.7.6, update to version 1.7.6 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider avoiding the download of .LNK files from untrusted sources until the issue is resolved.
