Description The issue is related to multiple buffer overflows. These buffer overflows can be exploited by remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a modified computer name and length that leads to a heap-based buffer overflow. Additionally, local users can execute arbitrary code via a long Name entry in the configure.cfg file.

Recommendations For BakBone NetVault versions 6.x through 7.x, update to a version that contains a fix for this issue to prevent exploitation. At the moment, there is no information about a newer version that contains a fix for this vulnerability.
