7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions Monkey daemon (monkeyd) versions prior to 0.9.1
Description The issue is related to a format string vulnerability in the cgi.c file. This vulnerability can be exploited by remote attackers through an HTTP GET request that contains double-encoded format string specifiers, potentially leading to a denial of service or the execution of arbitrary code.
Recommendations For versions prior to 0.9.1, update to version 0.9.1 or later to resolve the issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the cgi.c file or the affected HTTP GET endpoint until the update can be applied.
