CVSS v2.0

7.5

High

VectorAV:N/AC:L/Au:N/C:P/I:P/A:P
Name of the Vulnerable Software and Affected Versions NPDS versions 4.8 through 5.0
Description The issue allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary SQL commands. This is achieved via the thold parameter to API endpoints such as "comments.php" or "pollcomments.php".
Recommendations For NPDS version 4.8, update to a version that fixes the SQL injection issue. For NPDS version 5.0, update to a version that fixes the SQL injection issue. As a temporary workaround, consider restricting access to the "comments.php" and "pollcomments.php" endpoints until a patch is available. Avoid using the thold parameter in the affected API endpoints until the issue is resolved.
